Mr. Newton, based in New Orleans, joined Keiser University – Latin American Campus in January 2022, where he teaches Business Law, Legal Environment of Business, and Immigration Law. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and a J.D. in Civil Law from Loyola University, New Orleans. Since 2004, he has served as the Managing Director of CSISA Insurance in Managua, Nicaragua. Previously, he worked as an attorney at Liska Exnicios & Nungesser, a boutique law firm specializing in civil law and litigation, mass joinders, class actions, environmental litigation, toxic tort, and personal injury litigation, from December 2018 to November 2020 in New Orleans. He is also the founder and former president of WSN Associates (1989-2001), a successful Managing General Agency providing life, group health, and retirement products to companies and individuals in the U.S. and Central America, with operations in New Orleans, San Salvador, and Guatemala City.
