Press Conference – Leading the Region in Artificial Intelligence

Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence

Today is not simply an announcement.

Today is a statement about the future of education in Nicaragua.

We gather here because Keiser University firmly believes that our students—our sons, daughters, and future leaders—deserve access to the most advanced fields of knowledge, delivered with seriousness, integrity, and a global vision.

Today, we lead the region in Artificial Intelligence education—not as a trend, but as a deliberate academic decision.

We officially present a program that reflects years of academic reflection, international collaboration, and institutional responsibility: the Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence.

For Dr. Anderson (Hon), President of the Latin American Campus, this program represents a vision he has personally championed for several years, both in Nicaragua and internationally.

Dr. Anderson (Hon) has worked extensively at the intersection of education, philosophy, and artificial intelligence, presenting his research and ideas alongside universities and institutions across the Americas. His work consistently returns to a fundamental question:

How do we educate students not only for the jobs of today, but for the realities of tomorrow?

Artificial Intelligence is already transforming the way we live, work, learn, and govern. The question is no longer whether AI will shape the future, but who will shape it. At Keiser University, we believe that students in Nicaragua should not simply adapt to that future—they should lead it.

This conviction is why we proudly announce a four-year, full-time Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, designed with academic depth, ethical responsibility, and a long-term vision.

This program is offered under Keiser University’s U.S. institutional accreditation, ensuring alignment with United States academic standards, curricular rigor, and quality assurance. At the same time, the program is in the final stage of formal review by Nicaragua’s accrediting authorities, reflecting our full commitment to national educational frameworks and regulatory excellence.

This process represents continuity, not uncertainty, and reaffirms our responsibility to both global and local academic standards.

With this launch, Keiser University becomes the first university in Nicaragua to introduce a full undergraduate degree dedicated exclusively to Artificial Intelligence.

But being first is not the goal.

Being prepared is.

  • Prepared to educate with responsibility.
  • Prepared to think critically.
  • Prepared to serve society with competence and conscience.

*Pending final approval CNR
