MANAGUA, NICARAGUA—Keiser University Nicaragua today announced a strategic expansion of its international recruitment efforts, including establishing a presence in eight new countries. This initiative builds on the successful recruitment strategies already implemented in Honduras and El Salvador, where the university has attracted a diverse group of students. It represents a significant step in Keiser University’s mission to enhance educational opportunities and cultural exchange globally.

Arthur Keiser, Ph.D., Chancellor of Keiser University, emphasized the importance of this program: “This initiative underscores our commitment to delivering world-class education that bridges nations and fosters global innovation,” said Arthur Keiser, Ph.D., Chancellor of Keiser University. “This strategic move highlights our dedication to extending our unique educational model globally, preparing students for workforce opportunities in key industries, and promoting a diverse and inclusive environment.”

The recruitment strategy is designed to attract international students to their campus in Nicaragua. The university’s established and newly developing exchange programs will play a crucial role in this endeavor, enabling students from these new markets, as well as from Honduras and El Salvador to study abroad and gain invaluable global experiences. This approach aligns with Keiser University’s philosophy of putting students first, fostering an environment rich in diversity, and preparing students for global workforce challenges.

Dr. Robert Keiser, Vice Chancellor of the Graduate School, highlighted the educational benefits: “Expanding our recruitment to these new countries significantly enhances the academic and cultural environment of our university. It enables us to offer a broader range of perspectives and experiences to our students, enriching both their academic and personal growth.”

Keiser University has had an international presence in Nicaragua since 2013, and its Latin American Campus is home to over 1,000 students. It remains one of the few U.S. accredited institutions of higher education granting degrees in Nicaragua and most of the region. The recruitment efforts into new countries will help the university continue its mission to produce the critical workforce talent needed for the modern global economy.

Mathew Anderson, President of Keiser University Nicaragua, stated, “This program enhances the opportunities available to our students, making our campus a central hub for global learning and cultural exchange. It’s an exciting time for Keiser Nicaragua and Keiser University as a whole as we continue to grow our international presence and impact.”

The announcement follows Keiser University’s recent accolades, including being ranked as one of the top universities for Hispanics by The Hispanic Outlook on Education Magazine and earning recognition as one of the top colleges in the United States for social, upward mobility by U.S. News & World Report in 2023-24.
