Henry H. Howard & Gertrude L. Bagley Library
The Henry H. Howard and Gertrude L. Bagley Library is open for students, faculty, staff and visitors all year. During the academic year it is open until 11 PM most evenings.
The collections available are print and electronic books, online databases of periodicals and electronic books, DVDs and other educational materials. There are computers for students, Wi-Fi, printing, scanning and copy machines. Many study rooms can be used on demand or with a reservation, and a large conference room with an exterior entrance can be booked for special events for the campus community or external users.
Most of the library book collection is in English since that is the language of instruction. However, our Latin American collection, which is strong in literature and history, is in both English and Spanish. All book collections add up to more than 30,000 volumes. There is also a large bound collection of Nicaraguan newspapers that spans more than thirty years, and consists of primary sources not available online.
