Ms. Kathya Perez has a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, UNAM, México. Having graduated with honors, her main research interests are Foreign Direct Investment, Financial Liberalization, Economic History and Macroeconomic issues in Latin America.

She has a BA in Business Administration, with minors in Economics and Mathematics from Ave Maria University Latin American Campus. Currently, she worked as the Business Development Manager at SUMIDENTAL, S.A., the largest importing company of Dental Materials and Equipment in Nicaragua. Ms. Perez has published articles in journals and participated in Seminars and Events at Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas (IIEC) in Mexico City.

In his understanding of artificial intelligence, he maintains a firm stance regarding the impossibility of having conscious computer programs.

Bruce W Griffin was born in Cleveland, Ohio.  His family is half-Jewish, and regularly celebrates Passover.  He was baptized at a Baptist church shortly after graduating from high school.   He graduated from Liberty University in 1993 with a BS in General Studies with concentrations in English, Political Science, and Religion.  He attended Wheaton College Graduate School from 1993-94, and then finished a graduate degree in Jewish Studies at the University of Oxford in 1995.  He has submitted his doctoral thesis in papyrology to the University of Oxford, and specializes in ancient papyri, particularly as it relates to the Christian and Jewish communities of the Roman Empire.  He was received into the Catholic Church in 1997.

Mr. Kruger is the Vice-president and shareholder of this real estate company, Madronos Inversiones del Sur S.A .  This is a commercial real estate investment company. It has two commercial real estate plazas consisting in commercial modules for businesses. Also, he works for a Holding company in Panama. This company has private company shares and had an investment account with International Banks for portfolio management in the stock market. Public company shares, and Bonds were sold after 2008 to invest in real estate projects.

Mr. Leonardo Centeno-Caffarena

Leonardo is an Industrial engineer, with an MBA, a master’s degree in local economic development, and a doctorate in business management, with emphasis on family businesses and entrepreneurship.

He has two decades of experience teaching entrepreneurship, small and medium firm development, and family firms; as researcher he publishes yearly two papers in those same topics.

Member of the board of several corporations in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, and founder and director of CEPRODEF, an NGO created to assist and professionalize the family firm and promote entrepreneurship in the country. This NGO has trained more than 1000 business owners in 7 years, attended more than 120 family businesses, and provide entrepreneurial training every year to 100 youngsters.

Dr. Telleria earned his Ph.D. in Public Administration and Policy from Virginia Tech in 2011, along with a master’s in urban planning with a specialization in International Development Planning, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.  Dr. Telleria has been teaching for over 20 years, having taught in China, the U.S. and Nicaragua.  Outside of academia, Dr. Telleria has held various key positions in the private sector, Central Banking, and has been a consultant for the World Bank and the U.S. State Department.  Dr. Telleria is a published author and scholar, with several publications in high impact international academic journals.  Dr. Telleria joined Keiser University in 2017 and currently teaches for both the Department of Political Science, as well as the Department of Business, at Keiser University’s Latin American Campus.  He lives with his wife and daughter in Managua, Nicaragua.

Xochitl Boutte-Araica joined Keiser University Summer 2021 in the Political Science Department as a part-time Criminal Law and Immigration Law Professor. Ms. Boutte-Araica has 30+ years of experience as a professional development facilitator, education consultant, and leadership development. Her industry experience includes education, public and private schools, higher education, resources, international students, and cultural education diversity inclusion.

She holds two master’s degrees in policy legal studies and education curriculum & instruction from (SUNY Potsdam) State the University of New York at Potsdam, New York, USA. Her specialties include train-the-trainer, women’s leadership development, customer service, curriculum development, office, and classroom management.

Fleming joined Keiser University in 2018 as an English instructor in the SEAL program.  He began work in higher education at the Georgetown University study-abroad center in Fiesole Italy before teaching Spanish language and Latin American History at Arcadia University and later serving as Special Assistant to the President at Mount Aloysius College. Fleming is the recipient of two NEH grants and has led educational exchange programs in Latin America and Europe.

Mrs. Valdivia joined Keiser University – Latin American Campus – in 2021 where she is teaching courses in Introduction to International Relations and US – Latin American Relations.  She holds a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Studies with a concentration in political economy and has taught extensively in this field of study.

Dr. Casco has been working with MARENA, Foundacion Cocibolca, and the University of Tsukuba to study the regenerative mechanisms of the Mombacho salamander. Moreover, he worked in the Project Wolverine” which is ongoing research to understand salamander tissue regeneration and applications in medicine.

It is important to mention that Dr. Casco is working on Postdoctoral Fellow with the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science.  Currently,  the only Nicaraguan Citizen to obtain it. Also he already obtain, 9 Research and Education Awards, 11 Publications in International Peer Reviewed Journals, 12 Scientific International Meetings/Conferences.

He is working towards the PhD degree at KTH, Sweden (expected June 2015). Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Keiser University Latin America Campus, Nicaragua. Mr Picado has research experience in drying technologies, chemical process modelling, simulation and optimisation, materials science and environmental engineering. He has published more than 15 research articles.

Dra. Fernandez, has worked for more than fifteen years with a group of companies in the chemical sector, where she held various positions in the administrative area.

At the teaching field, Dra Fernández has been involved in the areas of: Strategic Planning, Human Resources Management, Business Plan, Management Communication, Organizational Behavior, at various Universities: Universidad Central de Venezuela, Universidad Metropolitana and Keiser University Florida and Nicaragua, Francisco Vitoria, Spain.

She has published different articles in Arbitrators’ Journals and books on SME Capital Structure, Methodology for Research in Administrative Sciences and Management Communication.

Mr. Cerda considers himself an entrepreneur by nature, he is the founder and Director of two companies , Investigación Interactiva and Kappa-Soft; companies that  provide market research and technology services respectively  in  Nicaragua and in the  Central American markets. He  motivates, encourages, and inspires students to be the next professional entrepreneurs that drive and promote economic development through the creation of high-value businesses companies.

Also, she is an accredited arbitrator of the mediation and arbitration center of the Nicaraguan Chamber of Commerce “Antonio Leiva Perez”.

Nelson Salazar joined Keiser University – Latin American Campus in 2021where he teaches courses on Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Applied Statistics and International Trade. Professor Salazar has worked as a consultant for multiple multilateral organizations, such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB); the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA); the Central American Tourism Integration Secretariat (SITCA) and the Regional Center for the Promotion of MIPYME (CENPROMYPE), as well as academic institutions in several Central American countries. Professor Salazar specializes in the study of economic integration phenomena, as well as other problems of the external sector and macroeconomics in general.

Gilda Alvarado Reyes joined The American University Nicaragua in 2007 where she teaches the courses Event Organization and Planning and Hotel Management. She graduated from Purdue University with a master’s in arts degree and then pursued doctoral studies. Her professional career has been extensive, Gilda Alvarado has taught at Purdue University, has traveled abroad and obtained various certifications and continues to provide her expertise in her field as a consultant in Hotel and Asset Management, and Marketing in several Central American Countries. She was a founding member of the Costa Rican Association of Tourism Professionals and has been a guest speaker in several congress events.
